What next?
what with microsoft buying out companies like iView and Lionhead Studios what will be next?
I think abobe might be on Microsoft's List. ...Innovation by acquisition. However, I would not worry about a Microsoft acquisition of Adobe. If you think that Windows Media created antitrust problems for the Redmond Monopoly, a Microsoft attempt to acquire Adobe would make those problems look like a missed deadline.

Safari is great, but on my PC I use Firefox. I don't know if I'd use Safari on a PC if I could, but the fact that they make Firefox for the Mac is a good thing for Apple overall, so they're probably happy that it's so popular for both platforms. No one says you can only use one, and the enemy of my enemy, and all that. This could only help if they both continue to work toward the same standards. When IE is no longer as dominant, it will be a good thing for Mozilla and Apple.
Plus, a little heathy competion is always a good thing for the consumer.

Thx for the kind words guys/girls!
Could you post some screen shots? I might need to get tiger now....
The first post now holds 2 screenshots from a previous beta, just very slightly different from the current one. I will update them when i get home.
And indeed, you will need tiger now :D

oh, that's a good one - what we're you thinking in telling us to not go see it?
'Don't press the red button!'
'Oh, you mean this one?'
BOOM!
Ok, that has to be one of the lamest openning threads I've ever seen - ha, I'm surprised you haven't gone back to update it......
taking things to a whole new level there VOID - and the first response by kishba in that thread says it all.....

Yeah, I feel the same way about my TiBook 800. I bought it about a month ago and already people are talking about all the improvements that are coming. When's the next upgrade? Few weeks? yeah, should've waited. Oh well, this industry's like that....
damn, should've waited....

The 12" model kills the 14" model in all aspects... except battery life. I really hope Apple kills the 14" iBook, makes the 12" iBook into a middle-range laptop...then makes an eBook for students. The only way they could keep the 14" screen in the line up is if Apple changes the resolution.

A Carbon application which only uses Apple's libraries would be fine, especially a Mac OS X-only Carbon app. There may be instances where someone is using a shared library or resource which is not Mac OS X compatible and can't be ported at all, but Apple doesn't want people to be using resources anyway, only Nibs.

The new promo is good with PowerBook and PowerMac, which (given their past track record) would mean no new update until the promo is over.
Dissappointed..........

The DRM has nothing to do with ITMS's business model.
The main purpose of iTMS is to sell iPods. iPods are the only players at this time that can play iTMS purchased music, due to the DRM. Tell me how the DRM has nothing to do with iTMS's business model.

I was, but had some problems with the firewall. Folding couldn't get through, and the IT department also couldn't figure it out and didn't want to spend to much time into it because they didn't support the app. At first I emailed a finished WU to home, opened VPC to send the windoos WU to Stanford and get a new one. Emailed that back to work, but the emailserver@work always said that it was a virus! So, had to upload the new WU to a website and download it at work (don't have an usb stick, do have an iPodwith firewire, but my workpc doesn't have firewire :(). At first this worked, but later, when I did it with several WU's, I didn't get any points for them. So I stopped. Especially because that was the only reason to use my B&W for VPC, didn't had version 7 for the G5. Maybe if I have that, I might start again!

Cool redeye, thanks for the update! And it's here about the same, the heat that is. Too hot to get some sleep. So, installing the widget at 00:48 CET is the best thing to do! :D And I think it's time to get this baby out of its Beta status and make it version 1.05. After this update, you have earned your rest, for the weekend that is :p

I'm running the latest Firefox on my work PC for a couple of weeks without any issues. Am really starting to warm to it. May look to push it out to our users.
But I will never consider it on my Mac if they don't ever put a close button on the tabs like Safari does.
Check out this Firefox extension (http://update.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=18&vid=398); it lets you double-click a tab to close it. I can't live without it now.

I've got a question and I didn't really want to start a new topic for it. I got folding going an here (using terminal) and it's been going for a few days. I downloaded the folding tracker widget and clicked the icon on the back and it still wont recognize by user name on the site (it doesn't find any users) and I looked in terminal and I found my ID number and put that into the widget and it doesn't get any info from it. How long does it take for the site to recognize new accounts? And why the heck after like three days can I not get any info on it? I'm getting annoyed I wanna see my stats.
What's your username, ID number?
If your stats are on the EOC site, the widget will show them.

Speaking of you Ralphie eyelikeart, I noticed a change recently. I'm just a little concerned, he appears to have some jaundice. Maybe you should put him under an ultraviolet light. Would hate to see him become ill! ;)
haha...I did change him the other day...
the colors are the result of too much wine & a massive amount of chocolate...
there's a few more shots of him... ;)

Let's hope it isn't 802.11g cause that won't work with 802.11b. I could be 802.11a which works with 802.11b. It could also be 802.11x which works with both 802.11a & 802.11b. :)
