Tits Up very zoon!
They should of marketed it as a Video player that plays music. That way it distinguishes itself from the iPod which is a music player that plays video. Sounds crazy but in marketing terms they are two completely different things and MS could of capitalised on this a little.

Anyway, when a reviewing organization "doesn't recommend" what I consider the best phone I've ever owned, it sounds more like I shouldn't bother paying attention to that reviewing organization. Their taste just isn't relevant to mine.[/QUOTE]

I don't see the benefit of a MacBook Slim.
Can someone pursued me or tell me why it would be better then just having a MacBook?
Exactly, it doesn't make any sense.

Other operating systems, (mobile based included) refer to software as "Programs". This has gone back as far as the days of DOS and Atari/Amiga.
Yes, "program" was popular, but "application" was used as well.
"App" as an abbreviation has been used by application engineers for decades. "Killer App" dates back to the early 1980s.
"Application" is also long used in Windows to describe executables (see below). Both it and its abbreviation were commonly used in articles, for example the Feb 2000 webpage below captured by the Wayback Machine (http://web.archive.org/). It's a waste of effort to try to claim that "app" is somehow new or can be claimed by Apple alone. The only discussion should be about "app store".

All I want for MWSF is a new keyboard, because it's time we had some media buttons. And a paint app so that I don't have to buy Photoshop if I want to doodle something.
Lunja, people actually use media buttons? I wonder, do other people here want this? I specifically don't want it. I like the way my wireless kb looks now.
Anyway, the paint program thing is one that thousands of switchers comment on. I do rather agree that there's no good simple answer to that one. Not that Apple shouldn't just bundle something simple, but apparently one MR member went so far as to write the thing himself (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=159877&highlight=posterpaint)! :D

In europe there`s nothing "rare" about a manual `box at all.
In fact, I don`t actually know anyone who can`t drive "stick".
I like both equally but in different circumstances.
Manual gives you better control/economy if you know how to drive it but for stop/start or city driving I`ll take an auto any day.
Just gone back to manual from auto in fact.
If I like the car then I`m not really bothered what `box it has.
That said, VW/Audi`s DSG semi auto`s are excellent.

Core 2s will be nice, but if you've already got a Core-based Mac now, I wouldn't rush to sell it. The Meroms coming out are an "initial" version according to Intel, designed to be pin-compatible as an easy replacement for the Yonahs.
In addition, Core 2 Duo vs Core Duo performance increase really isn't all that dramatic:
http://anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2808
Certainly not worth buying one to upgrade your current Yonah machine, assuming that really would be possible without some sort of EFI update.
While Merom isn't much faster than Yonah, Conroe in an iMac would be superb with the faster clock and bus speeds.

I usually think Apple makes great decisions, but my guess is that Blu-Ray was a bad one. I think it will ultimately fail with consumers.
There is A LOT riding on this right now & given Sony's track record with this sorta stuff, im a little concerned. Their PSP (UMD) format is already on its way out & is being discontinued. Not to mention all the other failed Sony formats over the years.
Now, they announce the PS3 is gonna have that ridiculous price tag of $600, which could have been much cheaper if they didnt include Blu-Ray in every single machine. They should have made it an add-on & gave people a choice instead of shoving it in everyones face. Correct me if im wrong, but dont gamers just wanna play games? You're looking at upwards of $1,000 for the system, a couple games, add-ons, etc. If PS3 fails (which it very well might), then kiss Blu-Ray goodbye.
Sony is setting themselves up for a huge backlash & I could really care less about them. I just wish Apple wasnt supporting their format.

The iPod Classic is the best iPod ever released, period. I love it since day 1. Only downside is you cant use it for sports, due to its sensitive hard drive. The device does look awesome, goes well with my aluminum book.
..is an ipod that is just about music and nothing else. and yeah the sound quality of the classic thats out right now does suck...i'd like to see improved battery life, higher quality chips (DAC, amps,...), digital output, maybe airplay - and all of that in a sexy, indestructable metal case with a click wheel and a small non touch display...
Sounds like an awesome idea for a new Classic.

I believe! But I'm still not buying one.
Hmmm... not really. I hate marketing. Nothing they say will change that. They also need to stop calling the iPad "magical". It really isn't. It's very nice, but not magical.
"This is what we believe. Technology alone is not enough. Faster, thinner, lighter...those are all good things. But when technology gets out of the way, everything becomes more delightful...even magical very nice. That's when you leap forward. That's when you end up with something like this."

Apple doesn't have the trademark yet.
It's still in the opposition phase. ;)
There you go. They'll sort it out in court.

Well regarding defeating the Nazi's and the Axis powers, one can credit the US to turning the tide.
Japan? Yes. The Nazis? Certainly not. The Soviets defeated the Nazis.
And anyways, as skunk mentioned, there are fundamental differences between Iraq/Afghanistan and Libya. Political opposition (in the US at least)siezes on superficial similarities as evidence of this being yet another invasion. But it is not.

Grim but accurate.
Grim??
Don't they (http://www.chaletdescollines.com/#4) have a turn-down service?
Unless you chaps mean Rwanda, which is much less amusing.

And the E207WFP 20" monitor (which seems to be comparable to the 2007FP minus a few bells and whistles (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productcompare.aspx?c=us&category_id=6198&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&p=320-4688~320-5123~)) is only $289.No the E207WFP 20 is 1650x1050.
I advocate the 2007FP 20 1600x1200 for only $359.20 (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-4687). That extra 150 verticle pixels is very helpful.

The iMac update is likely to be a spec bump, Sandy Bridge, better Graphics, etc...plus Thunderbolt. I plan to hang on to my current model for now.
I am more excited about a potential Mac Mini Update, because I need one of those.
same here (mac mini wise)

In Libya, there's a massive peace movement against Gaddafi. You don't have that in country "X".
I think that really depends on what country "X" is, and on your perspective.
Is this the peace movement you mean?
http://media.cleveland.com/world_impact/photo/libya-rebels-ras-lanuf-030511jpg-47d8f70bb90b2259.jpg
this isn't forcefully spreading democracy like Bush did...
Yet.
Plus we aren't sending in a ground force to occupy the country if we did that I would have a problem with it.
Are missiles okay? How about bombs?
